Oba Nana is the middle child among three sisters. She is 29 years old, single, and works hard at her job. She receives a promotion at her job to become the youngest assistant manager, but she feels anxious due to her friends getting married and having children. Her two sisters are 39-year-old Narusawa Mutsuki and 19-year-old Oba Hatsumi. Narusawa Mutsuki works as a certified accountant. She is currently separated from her husband due to her husband's infidelity. Oba Hatsumi feels unease with people her age who have their own life goals and pursue their goals. In order to comfort her feelings, she meets a man from a dating app.

One day, these 3 sisters face a big situation when their father suddenly goes missing. Due to that incident, they gather together.

Kamizuru Ryoko, a brilliant female detective who is a master in disguises, teams up with Takayama Nobuhiko, a young man who has an IQ of 140 but is uncomfortable in the presence of women. She fulfils all manner of requests except for murder and assault cases, but her request fee is a high price at 2 million yen.

Kiyama joins the agency after a chance encounter, and though he appears perfect at first glance, he has an extreme area of weakness when talking to women. He is drawn in by the absurdly unpredictable methods of the Detective Agency and utilizes his brilliant mind to support Kamizuru, who is willing to use any means at her disposal, and the combination of the two leads them to solve cases in the most lively way.

Azumi Nayuta is a young prodigy game developer who produces games privately under the name "John Doe" without any link with major company or distributor. Sato, a young woman from a modest family, marries Kenta, a young man from a well-to-do and respected family. She settles in the family's home, where she meets the father, Keiichi, a strict man, Mihoko, the unfriendly sister-in-law and Akito, the elder brother. Although not everyone sees the union of Kenta and Sato in a very good light, the father seems to have great plans for our heroine.

In 2006, Sanada Rio lived in a country village where a missing person case took place. Rio later studied in the pharmacy department at a university in Tokyo. Prosecutor Tsutaguchi learns of her unfortunate life and the men surrounding her. The men's impressions of Ritsuko Ikematsu are all different. Prosecutor Tsutaguchi then learns of a case that took place in 1955 in Tsugaru, Aomori Prefecture, where Ritusko Ikematsu and Kohei Kimizuka grew up. The Mobile Investigative Unit (known as "MIU") of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department attempts to solve cases within 24 hours.

Detective Shima Kazumi is selected as a new member of MIU. He is intelligent, with excellent observation and communication skills. Yet, he does not trust other people. He is unable to find a partner in MIU and is ordered to partner with Police Officer Ibuki Ai, who works at a police substation. Ibuki applied for MIU, but he failed. He is in excellent physical condition, but he lacks knowledge and experience as a detective. Shima learns about Ibuki's background and he becomes more nervous. Finally, Shima has his first meeting with Ibuki.
