Life Is Beautiful is a story about tracing one’s first love and finding real love in the process. It follows the story of Oh Se Yeon, a devoted wife to her husband Jin Bong and a doting mother to their children.

She suddenly learns that she no longer has much time left to live. As if trying to complete a puzzle in her life, she makes a strange request to her husband to help her find her first love. Although reluctant at first, Jin Bong finally gives in to his wife’s absurd final wish.

Together, they embark on a journey to search for Se Yeon’s first love. However, the only information Se Yeon has is his name. Their trip turns out to be a bittersweet journey which allowed them to recall their precious moments in the past and to create fresh memories to keep.

Young Bae, an ace in the car loan industry, is put in a tough spot when his friend Dong Shik disappears with a supercar which he took on consignment. An So Hee, Han Ji Yeon, and Kang Ji Gu enjoy meeting after work and drinking together. The three women are single and in their 30's. Their jobs have An So Hee work as a broadcasting writer, Han Ji Yeon as a yoga instructor, and Kang Ji-Gu as a YouTuber.

Meanwhile, Kang Buk Gu works as a PD of TV variety show. He hangs out with the 3 women.

When they arrive, Ji-An discovers that her parents have already left. Tae-Gang then takes her to the Seoul Station to catch her parents before they leave. Ji-An is able catch up to her parents right before they board the train. Her father complains about Ji-An leaving early and they have an argument. After her parents leave Ji-An cries on a bench. Tae-Gang follows her to get money for his motorcycle repair. They then begin to talk and discover that they have some things in common, like not being the greatest kids to their parents. They then go to a restaurant which Tae-Gang's friend runs. When they are about to leave, Tae-Gang tries to put her into a taxi, but she is so drunk he can't. The next morning they find themselves laying on a bed together. They are both freaked out. Prior to leaving, they both pretend nothing happened. Ji-An sees a doctor. The doctor warns her that she is going to experience menopause soon. Back at work, Ji-An has trouble selling shoes because of fake products. To catch the counterfeit shoemakers, she walks around a shopping area at night. There, she runs into a guy with a bag of counterfeit shoes. She's surprised to see that the guy is Tae-Gang.

Jang Bo Go was a slave from Shilla (a Korean dynasty that lasted from 57 B.C. until 935 A.D.) He was sold in China during the Tang Dynasty, where he was trained as a gladiator-slave. Through hard work and perseverance, he made it back to Shilla and became a successful sea merchant. The sea passage at the time was plagued by pirates and Jang Bo Go went head to head with them in battles and managed to keep the pirates at bay.

Four guys, with nothing better to do, decide to rob a gas station. When they find out there isn't as much money as they expected, they lock up the employees and take over to make more money. They don't know how to run the gas pumps, and when the customers complain, the guys take them hostage. Everything is more or less under a chaotic kind of control until they order Chinese food and make the mistake of harassing the delivery boy. He rounds up a bunch of other delivery boys to attack the gas station. Another confrontation with a high school gang and the local mafia provokes a bigger fight. Finally, the police arrive for the final showdown.
