Tao Zhen Yan, a trainee forensic doctor in the Republic of China, met private detective Gu Nan Chuan because of a murder case. Their fates were connected due to the emergence of the stamp demon serial killer, and they began to join forces to solve strange cases.

At 35, Professor Zhao Dahai was a famous psychology professor and TV talent show judge. He had a happy family with a beautiful wife, Zhou Meimei, and an adorable daughter. At present, over 47% of the male population in Japan aged between 30 ~ 34 are single. While for women, the no. goes up to 60% for those in their late twenties. It is not that they are unable to get married. Rather, they all choose to remain single, as they believe that marriage is not the be all and end all. Life holds more promising things beyond marriage, and thus they are all celebrating life as a single. This drama takes a look at life from the perspectives of these men and women. Hoshino Mamoru is the President of a film production company, having taken over the position from his father. He is an excellent creative director, but he detests chaos and hence prefers to remain single. His brother, Susumu, works at the same company, taking care of the business side of things. Currently undergoing divorce proceedings, Susumu has had to move out of his marital home. Haruno Yuki is disillusioned with men, after having gone through several failed relationships. She wasn't making great strides in her career either, and so one day, she decided to quit her job and pursue her dream of becoming a scriptwriter. In order to pay the bills, she takes on a part-time job at a maid agency. Before she knows it, she gets her chance to make her dream come true! It could be Fate, or just plain coincidence, but the 3 of them are plunged into each other's lives; The "Affluent Single", the "Divorced Hero" and the "Marriage Refugee". Kano Haruko is a charismatic shop assistant who has such excellent fashion sense that she has been featured in fashion magazines. However, she is unable to give up her dream of being a high school teacher. Haruko is asked by her former teacher to teach Japanese to foreigners for three months on the understanding that he would introduce her for the high school’s Japanese language teaching position. And so, she becomes a trainee teacher at a Japanese language school where she coaches nine foreign students with strong personalities, including an Italian anime enthusiast and a Swede who is in love with ninjas, according to her own convictions, while setting her sights on becoming a high school teacher.

Miyuki, a single mother and nursery teacher, meets Sri Lankan Kumara while visiting Tohoku as a disaster volunteer. A year later, the two of them who fulfilled a fateful reunion are gradually attracted to each other. Straightforward and charming, Kumara quickly becomes friends with Miyuki's daughter, Maya, and eventually, the three begin to live together like a family. Miyuki and Kumara exchange promises of marriage, but it is short-lived happiness.

Shortly after submitting her marriage registration and officially becoming a couple, Kumara is questioned by the police and placed in an immigration facility and ordered to be deported to her home country for overstaying. Kumara and Miyuki are in despair after being suspected of a fake marriage at the oral hearing. Visitation at the immigration office is only for 30 minutes through an acrylic board.

Miyuki and Maya are overwhelmed with anger at the unreasonable response and frustration that they can't help, but they visit lawyer Megumi Koichiro with a little hope. The only way to save Kumara is to file a lawsuit, win over the judgment, and obtain special permission to stay. He just wants to live with his family of three... He keeps a small wish in his heart and challenges the battle against the country.

Adapted from the novel "Knockin' on Locked Door" (ノッキンオン・ロックドドア) by Aosaki Yugo (青崎有吾).

Rinlanee is the star dancer of her class at her university. However, since she is an orphan, she is often teased and picked on by her classmates. Despite the malice, she finds support and comfort in her closest friends Chompoo, Feungfaa, and ATM.

Techin is the son of General Narong and his wife Madam Jitraa. His parents want him to marry Chompoo, a childhood friend, but he refutes, saying that he only sees her as a sister. When he meets Rinlanee at a school play, he immediately falls in love with her because of her resemblance to the woman of his dreams.

The two eventually fall in love, but their love does not last long. After a failed plan to embarrass Rinlanee, Primlada, Eakkarat, Thulathep, Prawit, Cherngchai, and Hongyok's futures are in jeopardy. They plot to take advantage of her. Again, their plan fails when Eakkarat almost kills her. In a panic, they decide to bury Rinlanee behind the school. Rinlanee regains consciousness during the burial and screams for help, but the group buries her alive in fear of her reporting them to the police. They agree to keep this a secret amongst themselves.

During the incident, Chompoo gets into an accident and Techin brings her to the hospital since he is the one who caused her accident. The two fly to America to treat her injuries and continue their education abroad. Soon, Chompoo is fully healed but has amnesia and does not remember her years as a university student. To help regain her memories, they return to Thailand. As soon as they return to Thailand, weird things start happening. Chompoo's friends start to die one by one, and the deadly secret of that dreadful night starts to reveal itself.
