At a peaceful village, Dal Jae and his son Bong Gil runs a small restaurant that sells naengmyeon (cold noodle dish). Dal Jae has made naengmyeon for almost 70 years and he is not satisfied with Bong Gil's skill in making the dish. Meanwhile, Bong Gil is sick and tired of making naengmyeon. He wants to escape from the restaurant.

A story about the youth of this millennium follows a group of students who encounter ups and downs in the marathon of life. Ma Tian who comes from a well-off family and his goody-two-shoes neighbor An Ran transferred to an ordinary high school during their senior year; where they meet different kinds of people — Lao Gou (‘Old Dog’), Da Lijiao, Mimi, Da Zui (‘Big Mouth’) and Song Jie.

On his very first day at his new school, Ma Tian gets into a fight with Lao Gou and each vow to never co-exist with the other. Yet fate seems to be playing a joke on them as they are put in the same marathon team in school. From that time onwards, the two had no choice but to tolerate each other as they are forced to train together all while making each other miserable. It's the last year of high school and these young students undergo countless challenges as they grow in each other's company and mature into adults.

At the end of their wedding the sheriff is killed leaving Roikaew to take care of his 2 kids. Years pass and Cholchat became the new sheriff of the town. Coincidently, Roikaew's father is the leader of the town so that means Roikaew and Cholchat get to meet each other every day to help their community. Cholchat's childhood friend Supasi comes back from America to stay with Cholchat and show her undying love. As Cholchat got to know Roikaew more, he begins to fall for her which Supasi will not have. At the same time, problems erupted in the community as drugs were being used again.

Cool CEO Sheng Nanfang is forced to marry an ordinary girl Su Shaoyan. He breaks her heart because of many misunderstandings. After the divorce, Sheng Nanfang realizes he has lost his true love.
