Adapted from the popular manga, this drama is set in the town of Higashimikawa in the prefecture of Ehime and is about Kamogawa Yoshiro, an average teenager, with no special talents nor outstanding abilities. Until one day, he could suddenly hear other people's thoughts. He could tell that Hayashi-sensei harbors some ulterior motive when it comes to dealing with the new transfer student, Asami Sae. Yoshiro admires Asami, and thus with his newfound powers, he intends to protect her from Hayashi sensei. With that "I shall protect you" thought, came another, "I shall save the world!". Later that day, at the Cafe where he often hangs out, he realises that his childhood friend, Hirano Miyuki, and the Cafe owner, Nagano Terumitsu, have also acquired new powers. Meanwhile, upon hearing the news of how many townspeople are suddenly acquiring special powers, the mysterious teacher and his assistant decide to move to the town of Higashimikawa...

Kadesurang is a 25-year-old chubby archaeologist. One day she suffers an accident after meeting Karakade's ghost and goes back in time to the Ayutthaya era around 300 years ago. She wakes up in Karakade's dead body right after she died.

Karakade was a very mean and selfish person. Everyone hated her, especially her betrothed Date, who liked another girl but his dad and Karakade's dad were best friends and they promised that their kids would marry each other. Karakade tries to kill her rival but her rival's servant dies instead. Date and his dad chant a spell in order to punish the culprit, which results in Karakade's death.

After Kadesurang wakes up in Karakade's body, everyone around her is confused now that she's acting like a completely different person. But her optimistic and playful personality slowly wins over everyone, including Date, who falls in love with the new Karakade.

A television adaption of Zhang Yimou's 2011 film The Flowers of War. Apart from changes in character relationships and the storyline, there will also be additional plots outlining the events before and after the Nanking Massacre.

Jin Yan Xi, a young man from an influential family, falls in love with a girl called Leng Qing Qiu, who comes from a poor background. They continue to date even though the difference in their respective social statuses prevents them from being together. Bai Xiu Zhu, a girl from another affluent family, also falls in love with Yan Xi, who rejects her and goes on to marry Qing Qiu. However, Yan Xi's restlessness, spoiled personality and boredom of life after marriage prompts him to have an extramarital affair with Xiu Zhu. He eventually breaks up with Qing Qiu and leaves her and his newborn son so that he can accompany Xiu Zhu to Germany. When the house where Qing Qiu and his son lived catches fire, Yan Xi thinks that they have died and he collapses in sorrow and regret. However, Qing Qiu and their son actually survived. Yan Xi tries to find Qing Qiu at the train station and imagines himself hugging her. Qing Qiu is actually near him on a southbound train. Yan Xi gives up and boards a train heading in the opposite direction after seeing that there is nothing left for him at home (his family is breaking up since his father had been robbed of his wealth and had died).
