The series takes place a few months after the 3rd installment. Chan Siu Sang and Wai Ying Zi have been dating for a while and seem to be in a stable relationship. Everything seems to be looking up for Ying Zi now that she's in a stable relationship and finally got a promotion at work, but the only that she and Siu Sang seem to fight about is marriage. He wants to rush into marriage but she wants to put it off for a few years to focus on her career since it is flourishing. Their relationship is further complicated when Siu Sang becomes jealous of Ying Zi's new handsome co-worker Ken, Mad that Siu Sang does not trust her, the two decide to break up. Ying Zi soon starts dating Ken since the two grew close while working together and Siu Sang begins dating Sunnie who works at the forensic department after being pursued by her. Having gone through so many tragedies in the past Chan Sam Yuen finally decides to focus on her family as top priority. She and Ching Fung have patched up their marriage even though it is still not perfect. With a difficult pregnancy Sum Yuen is no longer focus on her career. All seems well with her and Fung when she gives birth to a son until Fung gets entangled with female triad boss Chiang Tin Wing and her husband Sing Jin Choi. Fung is in charge of the case of Wing and her crime empire. While investigating Wing, she takes a liking to Fung and drugs him so she can have her ways with him. She uses their one night of passion to blackmail Fung into continuing their affair. Choi finds out about the affair between his wife and Fung, enraged with his wife's infidelity he accidentally kills her and frames Fung for her murder. With evidence to clear Fung of the crime Choi decides to kill Fung as revenge for ruining his marriage.

She takes a taxi to the family, On the way they make a stop to try to find their way and is almost run over by a careless motorbike driver and fall down. The driver gets hurt and Jaew gets furious. She lends the Taxi and follow the careless driver and discover that he is going to the same address she is, she follows him all the way into the house and the "fight" begins. So that's how Khun Chai met.

    Durr-e-Shehwar's (Samina Peerzada) daughter, Shandana (Nadia Jamil), and Durr-e-Shehwar's husband, Mansoor's (Qavi Khan) nephew, Haider (Noman Ejaz) have been married to each other for the last eight years. But recently there has been a breach in their relationship due to which Shandana decides to spend some time at her maternal home in Murree along with her young daughter, Sophia (Sophia Syed).

    Both Durr-e-Shehwar and Mansoor love Shandana and Sophia a lot. But Shandana envies her mother thinking that she led a comfortable and happy life with a loving husband and nothing to worry about. And thus, she often compares Haider with her father. Shandana also undergoes a stage of semi-depression and evens thinks of divorcing Haider. When Mansoor gets to know this, he gets angry with Haider. He reports this matter to his sister i.e. Haider's mother, thus, further complicating the matter.

    Unable to see Shandana in such a devastated condition, finally one day Durr-e-Shehwar narrates her own life story to Shandana and reveals that life for her wasn't as easy as Shandana thinks it to be. She tells her that when she had got married (Sanam Baloch as Young Dur-e-Shehwar) and moved to Mansoor's (Mikaal Zulfiqar as Young Mansoor) house, Mansoor's mother (Saba Faisal) was cold towards her and did not use to appreciate her for good qualities. Durr-e-Shehwar had to struggle a lot to gain her mother-in-law's acceptance and also the true love of Mansoor, who had earlier neglected her on the words of his mother. Hearing this story, Shandana realizes that her mother's life wasn't a bed of roses and being a housewife did not ensure happiness for Durr-e-Shehwar. This does blemish Shandana's respect for her father but it calms her down and gives her morale to start a new life with Haider.
