The story begin in the poor theater club at a prefectural city. A High school girl and the club president Saori lives out in a small city in the country. She adores plays and is in the theatrical club with fellow club members Yukko with princess personality, Garuru the moodmaker, the level headed Akemi-chan and the transfer student Nakanishi. The club adviser, Mizoguchi-sensei, actually know nothing about theater. Their world has turned when they meet the new teacher, Yoshioka-sensei, a graduate from a college in Tokyo who also loves plays and known as "The Queen of Student Theater". Saori, together with the play club, decide to compete in a theater competition for the local area but Yoshioka tells them to aim higher and go for the national competition with the play "Night on the Galactic Railroad".

When Chul-Ki was young his family was killed. Now as an adult, Chul-Ki is released from prison after serving 12 years. His plan for revenge is set to begin ...

The Lion Roars 2 comes ten years after the original comedic film where Cecilia starred with Louis Koo (古天樂) and Fan BingBing (范冰冰). The sequel features a star-studded cast hailing from Mainland China, including Xiao Shenyang (小沈陽), Fan BingBing, Huang Weide (黃維德), Viann Zhang (張馨予) and Wu Jianfei (吴建飞). While the original film offered more comedic relief, the sequel features more action and romance as it takes place during the Three Kingdoms period, telling the story about military strategist Zhuge Liang (Xiao Shenyang) and his wife Huang Yueying (Cecilia Cheung). Although Cecilia still portrays the sassy Huang Yueying, the sequel proved more challenging for her to film because Cecilia’s character had to enlist herself in the army in order to save her husband. This meant she had to wear a heavy armor suit and film the fight sequence in August, one of the hottest months of the year in China where temperatures were as high as 35 degrees Celsius.

Meet the creative forces behind Studio Ghibli, the award-winning Japanese animation studio that is the focus of this absorbing documentary. Hayao Miyazaki, the director of such cinematic wonders as Princess Monokoke, Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle is the centre point. On the other side of Tokyo, his colleague Isao Takahata is working on his latest opus. Producer and co-founder Toshio Suzuki shuffles between the two, expertly managing their distinct approaches and longtime rivalry. Director Mami Sunada, winner of SFF’s 2012 Audience Award for Best Documentary with Death of a Japanese Salesman, has captured the timelessness of the process, the brilliance and skill, and Miyazaki’s perverse, playful humour. Prepare to be enchanted by the genius of Studio Ghibli.

Taro a 12-year-old boy hospitalized in a small seaside town, brings a bit of levity into the lives of the other patients by acting as resident DJ. Starring Ryunosuke Kamiki, “Little DJ” is a compelling drama with great music from the 70's.
